Local Context:

Leyland St James' CE Primary School is a one form entry primary school from Reception to Year 6. Children come from a mixed socio-economic background. The proportion of pupils considered to be disadvantaged is in line with national average. The proportion of children who have SEND/disabilities is in line with the national average.

Leyland St James’ is rated as ‘Good’ (Ofsted, June 23) and is always over-subscribed.

SIAMS Inspection (February, 2020) graded the school as ‘Excellent’.

School works closely with the Local Authority and other agencies to ensure safeguarding is given the highest of priority, in particular, supporting families in the community.
