Student Council: Achievements 2025-26

Our Student Council has had a very busy year! Our Student Council consisted of 12 representatives including deputy representatives to help out too.   We met to discuss all of our achievements and I think we were surprised at how much we have achieved this year:

  • Started off the year with 'a big clean' around the school as leaves had gathered everywhere and our caretaker needed some help.
  • Divided up our roles and responsibilities well so everyone has a part to play.
  • Introduced ourselves on our Student Council Board in the hall with photos and information and led an assembly on British Values.
  • Part of the interview panel for a class teacher and our newly appointed Vicar.
  • Promoted the local food bank and delivered food at St Mary's food bank. This involved a tour and a chat with the volunteers about how the food bank works.
  • Created a school link to Cornerstones Prepatory School in Kenya, which included the council introducing a second assembly to raise money for the children over there. Children ran a 'Daily Mile' through April and May which resulted in funds raised to a total of £560. This helped pay for books and stationary. See the slides below to learn more about the council's great work!
