Wellbeing Warriors
What is the Wellbeing Warrior's Role?
- To promote ways to develop positive wellbeing.
- To attend regular meetings with Mr Atherton who is our Mental Health and Wellbeing lead.
- Organise and lead mindfulness activities within their class.
- Consider ways in which we can care for the wellbeing of our St James family.
- To lead wellbeing assemblies.
- Share advice and tips on wellbeing when working on both KS1 and KS2 playgrounds.
Achievements this year:
- Children led a worship assembly to share their understanding of wellbeing.
- Promoted 'Children's Mental Health Week' through posters, tips for wellbeing and support.
- Helped on Key Stage 1 playground to support play and help friendships grow, the Wellbeing Warriors helped each day to support their needs whilst building positive relationships with the younger children.
- Held a coffee morning for parents and carers to support their adults' wellbeing – serving coffee and biscuits as well as sharing what wellbeing means to children at Leyland St James.
